Junk removal & dumpster rental questions, answered
Everything people ask before they book. If yours isn’t here, call or text (765) 655-3389.
Pricing
How is junk removal priced?
By volume: how much room your items take on the trailer. A quarter load (a few big items) is $150, a half load is $300, three-quarters is $450, and a full load (a whole garage or basement) is $600. Loading, hauling, and dump fees are included. There’s no hourly rate.
Can I get a firm price without an in-person visit?
Almost always. Text a couple of photos to (765) 655-3389 with your town and we’ll reply with a firm number. In-person estimates are free for large cleanouts or commercial jobs.
What costs extra?
Tires, refrigerant appliances (refrigerators, freezers, AC units, dehumidifiers), mattresses in some cases, and long carries such as third-floor walk-ups. Heavy materials like concrete, dirt, and shingles are priced by weight. We’ll always tell you before we load.
Is there a minimum?
Yes, a single-item minimum that covers the trip and dump fee. It’s usually cheaper to add a few more things to the pile once we’re there.
How do I pay?
Cash, card, or check once the load is on the trailer. Contractors, landlords, and property managers can be invoiced.
Scheduling & the job
How fast can you come?
Most Clay and Vigo County jobs are done within the week. Calls before 9am have a good chance of same-day. Dumpsters are usually dropped next day.
Do I need to be home?
No. If the items are outside or reachable through an unlocked garage, mark the pile and we’ll take payment by phone when it’s loaded. For indoor cleanouts we’ll arrange a key or lockbox.
Do I need to carry things to the curb?
No. Loading is included, wherever the stuff is. Curbside piles are fine too if that’s easier for you.
Do you do cleanouts for estates and rentals?
Yes. Estate cleanouts, foreclosure and rental turnovers, storage units, and hoarding situations are handled respectfully and discreetly. We can work with a realtor, attorney, or property manager directly.
What we take
What items do you accept?
Furniture, mattresses, appliances, electronics, carpet, hot tubs (drained), playsets, yard waste and brush, construction and remodel debris, scrap metal, and general household junk. If you’re unsure, send a photo.
What can’t you take?
Paint, solvents, chemicals, motor oil, fuel, propane tanks, asbestos, medical waste, and anything the transfer station refuses. Clay County runs household hazardous waste collection days; ask and we’ll point you to the next one.
What happens to my stuff?
Usable furniture and goods are offered for donation when a local outlet will take them, metal goes to the scrap recycler, and the rest goes to the transfer station.
Dumpsters
How much does a dumpster rental cost?
$225 for a weekend (Friday drop-off, Monday pickup), $290 for 7 days, or $390 for 14 days. Each rate includes delivery, pickup, and disposal up to 1 ton; each additional ton is $80. You can fill out the rental agreement online to book.
What size are your dumpsters?
We rent a 14-yard dumpster. It’s a heavy-duty dump trailer, so it fits in a standard driveway and sits on tires instead of steel rails, and it won’t scar concrete the way roll-off cans do.
Dumpster or haul-off: which is cheaper?
If the stuff is already piled and you’d rather not lift it, a haul-off is usually cheaper and done in an hour. If you’re demoing or clearing over several days, rent the trailer. Describe the project and we’ll tell you honestly which one wins.
What can’t go in the dumpster?
Tires, batteries, paint and chemicals, refrigerant appliances, and hazardous materials. Heavy loads of concrete, dirt, or shingles are fine but priced by weight, so tell us ahead of time.
Service area
Where are you located?
Brazil, Indiana, in Clay County, about 20 minutes east of Terre Haute on US 40 and I-70.
Do you charge extra to come to Terre Haute?
No. Terre Haute and all of Vigo County are inside our normal service area. See the full service area page.
Are you insured?
Yes. Ask when you book and we’ll send a certificate of insurance for commercial or property-management jobs.
